Hello and thanks for visiting my website. I'm an ecocritic and I work in disability in HE.
My research interests are in twenty-first century fiction, environmental literary criticism, literary theory, contemporary and post theory, and continental thought, with interdisciplinary interests in environmental philosophy and environmental anthropology.
I have recently published my first monograph: Death-Facing Ecology in Contemporary British and North American Environmental Crisis Fiction, Routledge Studies in Contemporary Literature (2020). The book is based on my doctoral work and identifies death-facing ecology as a thematic device in contemporary environmental crisis fiction. Taking death-denial to be the root cause of environmental crisis, this fiction explores a turn to death-facing as a means to respond to this crisis.
